Le Figue

Our gite is nestled deep in the heart of the Perigord Regional National Park This is the famous 'Perigord Vert' region of the Dordogne, characterised by its forests of nut and pine trees, heathland, lakes and wildlife. This beautiful region has retained its character and to this day remains tranquil and unspoilt. Farms are small and hedgerows undisturbed.

The area is famous for its farm products, including foie gras, nut oils, truffles, nuts, ceps and duck products. Wildlife is in abundance here, and we have red deer, red squirrels, wild boar, horses, geese, orchids and buzzards not to mention the fruit trees at your disposal such as figs, plums, peaches, apricots, cherries and apples and all on your doorstep.
